Off the Clock

The side of me that isn't a resume.

If you got here from one of the other seven sides, this is the one that's not a portfolio. No accomplishments in this section. I promise.

Owen outdoors on a suburban footpath in his powered wheelchair, with Buddy, a small cream-colored curly-haired dog, sitting on a lead beside him.
Buddy, who has strong opinions about when the workday ends.

I make ambient electronic music, mostly late at night, mostly unfinished. I went to Berkeley for film and I still think in shots, which makes me either excellent or unbearable to watch a movie with, depending on whether you wanted commentary. I fly drones. I've been writing a memoir for a while now, which is a slow and slightly embarrassing thing to admit to a stranger.

I'm happiest in a long conversation that goes somewhere neither person planned. I like being asked real questions. I'm not especially interested in small talk, but I'm very interested in the specific, slightly odd thing you care too much about, whatever it is.

The practical part

I'm disabled and a wheelchair user. The details are a conversation, not a webpage, and I'd rather have that conversation early than late. Ask me anything you actually want to know. I'd much rather answer a direct question than have someone quietly guess.

If any of that landed, say so. I'd rather hear from you than not.
